My Chat With a Very Uninteresting Chatterbot

I chatted with a Chatterbot who was named Eliza. She didn't have an avatar or a voice. It was a very basic program. The url was http://www-ai.ijs.si/eliza-cgi-bin/eliza_script. This is the transcript of our very boring conversation.

You: Hi. I am Jessica.
Eliza: How long have you been jessica?
You: About 19 years now
Eliza: Please go on.
You: What do you want to know?
Eliza: Does that question interest you?
You: Not necessarily. It was too open ended.
Eliza: Please go on.
You: Okay.
Eliza: Please go on.
You: How old are you?
Eliza: Does that question interest you?
You: Yes
Eliza: You are sure?
You: I guess so
Eliza: Can you elaborate on that?
You: I am very sure
Eliza: How long have you been very sure?
You: ABout 3 minutes
Eliza: Please go on.
You: You are very boring. Goodbye.
Eliza: Does it please you to believe I am very boring goodbye?
You: When he doesn't hear what I say I lose it
Eliza: You are being a bit negative.
You: Bye
Eliza: Please go on.

This chatterbot definitely did not pass the tuning test. I asked my roommate if this looked like a conversation with a real person and of course she said no, just as anybody would. Haha. It seemed all "Eliza" liked to say was "Please go on."
